Franklins Brewery

Franklins Restaurant, Brewery & General Store in Hyattsville, Maryland, is one of the state’s most distinctive craft beer destinations. Founded by Mike and Debra Franklin in 1992, it occupies the historic Hyattsville Hardware building and became Prince George’s County’s first microbrewery. Franklins blends a full-service restaurant, award-winning brewery, whimsical toy store, and general shop under one roof. The brewery produces a wide range of classic and experimental beers, while the restaurant emphasizes locally sourced ingredients. With its playful atmosphere and community focus, Franklins has become a cultural landmark, embodying both history and creativity in Maryland’s brewing scene.
