Black Locust Farm Brewery

Black Locust Hops Farm Brewery, founded by Che and Lisa Carton, is Maryland’s only commercial hops farm and brewery, located on 24 scenic acres in Freeland. Established to support the state’s craft beer movement, it specializes in farm-to-glass brewing with hops grown directly on-site. The brewery features a rustic taproom serving a variety of craft beers and beverages like house-made hard limeade. Guests can enjoy live music, stunning farm views, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Pet restrictions and on-site alcohol rules ensure a focused farm experience emphasizing sustainability and freshness.
