Olde Mother Brewing Co., located in downtown Frederick, Maryland, was founded in 2015 by two friends passionate about community and craft beer. The brewery quickly became a cornerstone of Frederick’s vibrant beer scene, known for its approachable yet inventive lineup of IPAs, lagers, sours, and barrel-aged beers. Their spacious taproom features local art, live music, and family-friendly vibes, along with an adjoining food vendor offering casual eats. Olde Mother’s motto—“Stay Humble, Be Kind, and Drink Good Beer”—reflects their welcoming culture and dedication to brewing high-quality beer for everyone to enjoy.

Maryland Beer Journal & Atlas (MBJA) was established to celebrate and promote Maryland beer — the beer, the people, and the places. I began writing about my beer experiences through the Deep Beer Journal (DBJ) in February 2013. Currently, I am a first-level Cicerone, studying to advance my certification. I am a member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers. Since 2019, I have been the Maryland columnist for the Mid-Atlantic Brew News.
