Guinness Open Gate

Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Halethorpe, Maryland, opened in 2018 as the first U.S. Guinness brewery since 1954. Located on the historic Calvert distillery site, it merges Irish brewing heritage with American craft innovation. The brewery produces experimental small-batch beers alongside Guinness classics like the iconic Draught Stout. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, tastings, and a full-service restaurant featuring locally inspired fare. The sprawling 62-acre campus includes a taproom, beer garden, and event spaces, offering an immersive Guinness experience just outside Baltimore—a destination celebrating over 260 years of brewing tradition reinvented for American craft beer culture.
